The Big House

My sister is currently in a PhD program at the University of Michigan and this past weekend, I finally got the chance to visit her. It was the first time I had ever been to Ann Arbor or seen the campus so she gave us the full tour. The fall colors were in full effect turning every street into an inviting path of yellows, oranges and reds. Maybe it was the leaves, or maybe it was the game day atmosphere, but it almost made me wish I was back in school again too….almost.

The main event for the weekend was the Michigan-Penn State football game. I like football but I didn’t have a rooting interest in this game. I was just excited to see the stadium. The Big House is the largest football stadium in the country and consistently holds over one hundred thousand people for games. The attendance for our game was over 111,000!

I got to spend time with my family, explore a new place, see fall colors, and see the home team win. A great weekend all around.
